7.1.1.1.1. Student 1: reteeach sight words and learning concepts such as print awareness and letter recognition. Formatively assess student progress by listening during think pari share to their ideas and watching them play "sight word bingo" to see if they are mastering the content.

7.1.1.1.2. Student 2: Encourage student to continue using best guess spelling in writing and sounding out words. Use student's writer's workshop journal for evidence to conduct a summative assessment and monitor student growth in writing and spelling.

7.1.1.1.3. Student 3: Have student read an on level book and assess using a running record. If the student is reading above grade level, increase their Instructional reading level and do activities that will encourage them to expand their vocabulary in writing using new words they learn while reading.
