1.1. Crime writing also known as crime fiction, it is a genre that is about mystery, drama, and suspense that grabs the readers attention, it includes crimes, which is and act committed by someone like Murder.

2.1. Firstly, A Convention is a way that something is usually done like the conventions of a fairy tale is happily ever after and once upon a time. The conventions of a formal story is characters, setting, plot, conflict and theme, However we are talking about conventions of a crime story.

2.1.1. the conventions of a crime story usually include the following: a handsome detective which is the protagonist who solves the mystery, the trusty sidekick, the foil or is the officer that is always trying to include himself in the investigation but is one step behind the detective, and the villain which is the person or the group of people who have committed the crime.

3. Examples of crime writings

3.1. One famous example of a crime story is Sherlock Holmes, this is a really popular story, Sherlock was the detective, John Watson was the sidekick, there is a foil which is the police officer and there was always a villan or was sometimes also called the criminal mastermind.

3.1.1. Some other famous books or crime writings that I like are: Murder she backed by Joanne Fluke, three act tragedy by Agatha Christie, Three bedrooms, One Corpse by Charlaine Harris, Garage sale diamonds by Suzi Weinert. Of course there are many more, but these are the one that I find interesting.
