Erikson argues that there are six personality stages to ensure a smooth transition from childhood into adulthood .Stage 5 (Identity and Confusion) refers to a chid between the age of 11 to 17. this is the point in which a young person gains a sense of self and a personal identity. Young culturally isolated black men who fall into this stage face many obstacals in educucation
