Say Hello to a New Level of Collaboration

This post was updated on July 14, 2017.

One of the greatest things about MindMeister is its collaboration engine, which lets you brainstorm with others in real-time. You can quickly invite your whole team to a mind map, explain the goal of the exercise, and watch while everyone adds their own ideas on the canvas.

Say Hello to a New Level of Collaboration

This is collaboration on a mind map level. It works especially well for brainstormings, because there the goal is mostly to collect ideas before the actual project is created.

But what if the mind map itself is important? What if you need a visual outline or plan you can refer back to at any time, like a business plan or a PR strategy? In that case, the last thing you want are the differing ideas and opinions of your teammates cluttering up the canvas and scrambling your whole map structure. And you certainly don’t want people to edit or remove other team members’ ideas without asking first.

So, what’s the solution?

Introducing: Opinions for MindMeister

MindMeister's comments and votes feature

We’re very proud to introduce you to our brand new Opinions feature, which is easily accessible via the right sidebar in your map editor. Just like with notes and links, you can simply select a topic and use the widget on the right to add an opinion to a topic in the form of a comment or a vote.

This way, you can collect feedback and have entire discussions about individual topics without ever making alterations to the actual content of your map.

It’s kinda like Google Docs, but visual 😉
