1. Artificial Intelligence: Robot Nurses

1.1. Nurse Robots have the ability to help many patients. The AI can be linked to not only the hospital for instance response of patients but also smartphones of their loved ones. Disadvantages include a lack of human touch for healing. AI not only helps the patient but helps reduce stress on nurses by helping carry the workload. Nurses have long hours and the job never sleeps.

2. Healthcare Labor: Cerebro

2.1. Cerebro is a mobile app for nurse staffing. It provides a "faster, responsive healthcare labor marketplace-- one that connects healthcare facilities with verified, ready-to-work clinicians" (Referral MD, n.d.). The Cerebro platform also makes staffing faster and with higher fill rates and also creates better staffing flexibility.

3. Mental Health: Calm

3.1. This app helps with mental health. It is designed to "reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and help you to feel happier" by focusing on meditation, breathing, sleep, and relaxation (Medical News Today, 2018). In 2017 it was awarded Apple's "App of the Year". Sometimes it is hard to find information about mental health and harder to find somewhere to go. This app is free and also has a Pro version. I have used it to help my stress and depression. For patients it is easier and cheaper than finding a therapist who you may or may not find helpful with who you are as a person.

4. Physical Therapy: PT Pal Pro

4.1. Research has shown that up to half of all patients do not follow up on their recommended therapy, and this non-compliance has been "associated with substantial costs, including avoidable morbidity, increased hospital and nursing home admissions, and prolonged hospital stays" (Campbell, et al, 2001). This app shows the patient how to do their physical therapy and makes sure they follow through with notifications.
