1. The Lazy Spinner
1.1. Whenever her husband gave her something to spin, she never finished it, and whatever she did spin, she didn’t wind it, but left it tangled on the bobbin. 1.1.1. Wollstonecraft would have had an issue with this story because it is condescending and paternalistic.
1.1.2. I find it interesting that this story was of a wife being lazy and not about the husband. It makes sense that he chose to make it the wife considering the time period this was written in.
1.1.2.1. Similar to the Bible story of Adam and Eve, Eve is the one who gets all the blame and Adam doesn't get nearly the amount, Adam is the victim of her temptress ways. He does not have to take any responsibility of his own actions/decisions.
1.1.3. I believe Wollstonecraft would have agreed with the wife's choices to not do what her husband was ordering her to do.
2. Women Who Have Defied the Odds

4. Vindication of the Rights of Women

4.2. Wollstonecraft is quoted by many feminists. She never calls herself a feminist because she just believes in the idea of equality among genders.
