1. DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION SYSTEM: The same of the countries in Europe. Start at 6 and in at 16
2. CURRICULUM: Own curriculum but it isn´t as important as it might be
3. PRIVATE AND PUBLIC EDUCATION: The state financed the education, but there are also significant private schools and high schools.
4. BILINGUAL EDUCATION: There are different areas. In one of them there are welsh mediums and in the other side there are only english mediums
5. EDUCATION LEVELS:
5.1. PRE-SCHOOL: 500 centers in all the country. The parents have the option to take part in the education of their children. All the pre-schools are called Cylch Heithrih. The pre-school is finished at the age of 4.
5.2. PRIMARY EDUCATION: National curriculum is followed by all the pupils between the age of 5-11. Generally in Welsh speaking schools english is introduced at the age of 7. In this level they start shearing their culture ( songs, sports... )
5.3. SECONDARY EDUCATION: It is from the age of 11 to 16 and it is divided in two parts: the first one from 11 to 14 and the second one from 14 to 16. when they finish it they are able to speak two languages.
5.4. VOCATIONAL TRAINING: It is for people over compulsory school age excluding higher education. Many colleges offer leisure learning and training programmes designed to meet the needs of business.
5.5. HIGHER EDUCATION: This education level starts at the age of 18 generally and although all the pre university degrees are financed by the state, this one isn´t. The degree is of three years and if a pre degree is completed, it will lust 4 years.
5.6. ADULT EDUCATION: The adult education is the education directed to the adult people which is supported by the local authorities in Wales. The programs can be formal or informal, non-accredited or accredited, and vocational, academic or leisure orientated.
