Description: An alcoholic man lives in a perpetual stupor, while his 6 children with whom he lives, cope as best they can. The show is directed towards and audience that appreciates humor and drama. The show is about a family that gets on without their dad, the daughter runs the family.

Shameless is shown on Netflix, it has stopped airing because the are done with production. There are 5 seasons.

Fiona Gallagher	Emmy Rossum		Fiona Gallagher is in the difficult position of being the oldest Gallagher child, so most of the responsibility and child-rearing falls on her young shoulders. This is due to the fact that her father Frank Gallagher is a drunk and doesn't have any responsibility or maturity and doesn't know how to be a father. This blossoming young woman takes it all in stride as she has clearly been doing it for a long time. She is shown to be a hard-worker and has had a few dead-end, minimum wage jobs to bring in money to help support her and her family. She's generally responsible, honest and loyal with a good personality. She's also shown to have a wild side and enjoys going out drinking and dancing with her sexy best friend and neighbor, Veronica. Fiona suffers from insecurity and feels less-than adequate when it comes to men, especially when cute, privileged Steve comes into her life.
Ethan Gallagher	Cameron Monaghan		Ian Gallagher is the third oldest Gallagher sibling and is aged 15 at the beginning of the first series in 2004. He is the son of Monica Gallagher and Gary Bennett, revealed when his blood group was found to be incompatible with the rest of his siblings'. His half-brothers are Philliph "Lip" Gallagher Carl Gallagher (Elliott Tittensor), Liam Gallagher (Johnny Bennett) and Sean Bennett, and his half-sisters are Fiona Gallagher (Anne-Marie Duff), Debbie Gallagher (Rebecca Ryan), and Stella Gallagher (Nikita Brownlee). He has one niece, Katie Maguire, who is the daughter of Lip. He used to work at The Jockey as a barman but in more recent series his employment, if he has any, has not been shown.
Lip Gallagher	Jeremy White		Phillip Ronan Gallagher, as known as Lip, is the second-eldest Gallagher child and the most academic. He is a straight A student with a 4.6 GPA. While he possesses above average intelligence and excellent mechanical skills, he deliberately wastes all his time acting like the rest of the people in his town. He uses his intelligence to make money for his family, such as taking the SATs for other students (often scoring a perfect 2400) or tactically avoiding the cops when selling beer and marijuana from an ice cream truck during the summer. But despite his above average intelligence (a genius intelligence, almost), he has terrible judgement, thus is frequently shown smoking cigarettes, having unprotected sex with multiple women, and drinking copious amounts of alcohol in his free time.
