A.D.D.I.E. model (Genevieve Legault) da Mind Map: A.D.D.I.E. model (Genevieve Legault)

1. Step 1: Analyze

1.1. This step identifies all the variables that need to be considered when designing the course: learner characteristics, learners’ prior knowledge, resources available, etc. Here some questions to ask:

1.1.1. What is the goal of the training?

1.1.2. What is the gap between the reality and the standard requested?

1.1.3. Who needs the training and what are their characteristics?

1.1.4. What behaviors are expected of learners after the training? (what we want them to learn).

1.1.4.1. The answers are used at step 2 to compose the training plan that addresses: Who, What, When, Where, Why, How?

2. Step 3: Develop

2.1. This step is about the creation of the content that was thought in the design step. The goal is to do a pilot and experiment before implementation.

2.1.1. What are my strengths in content creation?

2.1.1.1. What do I delegate?

2.1.2. Plan the development according to the time required.

2.1.3. Create content based on answers to questions from the design stage.

2.1.3.1. Create the material for training learners (activities, assessments, etc.).

2.1.3.2. Create the material for training the trainers.

2.1.4. Experiment all the process than a trainer and a learner will have to follow to get through the trainings.

2.1.4.1. Ask people and professionals to test the trainings and give feedback of their experiences.

2.1.4.2. Adjust the content and learning process based on the comments received.

2.1.5. The trainings created at this step are ready to be implemented.

3. Step 2: Design

3.1. This step identifies the learning objectives for the course and how materials will be created and designed. The goal is to get an overview of the training.

3.1.1. Plan indicators bound with the learning objectives like "At the end of the training, the learner will be able to..."

3.1.2. What content will be covered and in what order?

3.1.3. What strategies will be used to teach the subject and reach the learners? (text, audio, video, social media, etc.).

3.1.3.1. What technologies are available to learners?

3.1.4. What is the best duration to encourage learners' participation?

3.1.5. Where and when the training will be given?

3.1.6. What will be assess, how and when it will occur?

3.1.6.1. Summative assessments

3.1.6.1.1. When feedbacks will be given?

3.1.6.2. Formative assessments

3.1.7. Develop material to sell the training.

3.1.8. The answers at this step (training plan) allow to go to next step.

4. Step 4: Implement

4.1. This step is to share the trainings with the trainers and the learners.

4.1.1. Train trainers and learners on the technologies used during the training.

4.1.2. Give the trainers' training.

4.1.3. Trainers give the official training to the learners!

4.1.3.1. Provide help and support as needed.

4.1.3.1.1. Build a FAQ with the most frequent questions and concerns.

4.1.4. The official course gave at this step is ready to be evaluate.

5. Steps 5: Evaluate (also after step 1-2-3)

5.1. This step collects feedback and data in order to identify areas that require improvement for the next course. However, the evaluation is present throughout the ADDIE process. For example, a pilot is assess during the development phase and we need to assess costs, risks, schedule and requirements throughout the process.

5.1.1. Administer assessments as planned.

5.1.1.1. Process evaluation data.

5.1.1.1.1. Results of the summative /formative assessments of the learners.

5.1.1.1.2. Results of assessments of the training process.

5.1.1.1.3. According to the evaluation results, adjust parts of the learning process of greatest inconvenience or highest priority to enable learners to achieve the learning objectives.

5.1.2. The evaluation phase takes place throughout the training.
