3. Problems
3.1. Hunger- There are many hunger families out there because they can't afford to consistently buy meals. Many days kids won't eat and have to suffer with inadequate nutrition.
3.1.1. Fact- "The Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics reports that in 2010, 22 percent of children under the age of 18 lived in food-insecure households, and one percent in households with very low food security".
3.2. Homelessness- Many people in our country don't have homes because they are in poverty. And just because they have a home doesn't mean it's the best place to live. Often times the people with homes have it crowded and not the best living place for them.
3.2.1. Fact- "The National Association for Education of Homeless Children and Youth reports that during the 2009-2010 school year, 939,903 homeless children and youth were enrolled in public schools, a 38% increase from the 2006-2007 school year".
3.3. Healthcare- Many people in poverty can't afford healthcare. Even though we have slowly tried to help them get it it isn't enough for them. They also can't keep themselves healthy because they are not getting the amount of vitamins and minerals they need to stay healthy.
3.3.1. Fact- "In 2020, 8.6 percent of people, or 28.0 million, did not have health insurance at any point during the year".
