2.2. The Habit Of Doing More Than Paid For

2.2.1. "You are most efficient and will more quickly and easily succeed when engaged in work that you love, or work that you perform on behalf of some person you love."

2.3.8. The seven key factors of a pleasing personality:

2.3.8.1. 1. Form the habit of being genuinely interested in other people

2.3.8.1.1. find their good qualities and speak of them in only a positive manner

2.3.8.2. 2. Develop the ability to speak with force and convition

2.3.8.2.1. both in private and public settings

2.3.8.3. 3. Dress in a manner that is appropriate and flattering to you

2.4. Accurate Thinking

2.4.1. Accurate thinking involves two things:

2.4.1.1. Separating fact from information

2.4.1.2. Separating fact into two classes:

2.4.1.2.1. important/unimportant

2.4.1.2.2. relevant/irrelevant

2.4.2. The accurate thinker will not believe everything he hears

2.4.3. Be wary of any self-interest from the provider of evidence

2.4.3.1. "form your own judgment on the part of the evidence before you that furthers your own interest without working any hardship on others... and is based on facts"

2.4.4. The key to accurate thinking is "creative thought"

2.4.5. The first step to accurate thinking is autosuggestion

2.4.5.1. suggestions you make to yourself

2.4.5.2. the subconscious mind will invoke the aid of "infinite intelligence"

2.4.6. The subconscious mind does not question the source of it's orders

2.5.6. When two or more people ally themselves for the purpose of attaining a goal, their power is greatly increased.

2.5.7. it is possible for anyone to develop the ability to "tune in" and understand the thoughts of others through the "Universal Mind"

2.6. Cooperation

2.6.1. "the beginning of all organized effort."

2.6.2. Two forms:

2.6.2.1. cooperation between people who group themselves together for the purpose of achieving a given end (see The Master Mind)

2.6.2.2. Between the conscious and subconscious minds of an individual

2.6.2.2.1. aka infinite intelligence

2.6.3. Nearly all successful businesses employ cooperation in one form or another

2.6.3.1. cooperation is the foundation for successful leadership

2.6.4. Surround yourself with those that posses skills that you yourself lack

2.6.5. No one succeeds alone

2.7. Profiting by Failure

2.7.1. "Defeat is a destructive force only when it is accepted as failure. When accepted as teaching some needed lesson, it is always a blessing."

2.7.2. Normally a negative word

2.7.2.1. however

2.7.2.1.1. failure is different from

2.7.3. sound character is the result of

2.7.4. Temporary defeat is the teacher of a needed lesson

2.8. Tolerance

2.8.1. Intolerance cloud the mind of individuals and prohibits the development of:

2.8.1.2. Mental fortitude

2.8.1.3. Spirituality

2.8.2. Question the foundations of your beliefs

2.8.2.1. are they rock-solid?

2.8.2.2. are the based on reality and truth?

2.8.3. Regardless of the chose field

2.8.3.1. cooperation and tolerance support the Definite Chief Aim

2.9. The Golden Rule

2.9.1. "the guiding star that will enable you to profitably and constructively use the knowledge assembled in the previous lessons"

2.9.2. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you

2.9.3. All your thoughts and actions will come back to you

2.9.3.1. for better or for worse

2.9.4. The Golden Rule makes:

2.9.4.1. dishonesty

2.9.4.2. selfishness

2.9.4.3. greed

2.9.4.4. envy

2.9.4.5. hatred

2.9.4.6. malice

2.9.4.7. Impossible

2.9.5. You are punishing yourself for every wrong your commit

2.9.6. Labor and Capital have a mutual and common interest

2.9.6.1. neither can prosper without the prosperity of the other

2.9.6.2. If labor is the arm, capital is the blood
