1.2.1.3. 1. You are writing your own computer code and want access to previous versions if you screw stuff up. How can you accomplish this (pick language of your choosing, such as Matlab)

1.2.1.4. 2. You want to write code with someone else, who lives in another state. Both working on the same code. You want to be able to keep track of and merge each other's changes. How could you accomplish this?

2. Course goals (5-10 minutes)

2.1. Learn some basic electronics

2.3. Learn to share source code & data

2.3.1. Git and github (modern tools)

2.4. Learn to program in LabVIEW

2.5. Have fun learning electronics / hardware skills that would be helpful in future research career

3. Grading (5 minutes)

3.1. Grading will be related to course goals. To get an A, need to keep up with lab notebook EVERY WEEK and have excellent work and lab notebook

3.2. All labs count equally. "Participation / Helpfullness" grade combination of contributions during lectures and during labs

3.3. Must read and comment on each other's notebooks--we will figure this out as weeks go on

3.3.1. Anthony will make a list of all notebook links
