Computer Input and Output Devices by Mind Map: Computer Input and Output Devices

1. The first Input device is the Keyboard. The Keyboard is used to enter text information into the computer as well as type in commands. The Keyboard is an important part of inputting and can be used with any computer. I do not see a problem incorportaing this device into the classroom, however, improper use or positioning of a keyboard can lead to repetetive-stress injury. The benefits of using this device is that it is easy to use and you can purchase many types of keyboards.

3. The second Input Device is called the Mouse. The mouse is a pointing device that sits on your work surface and is moved with your hand. The mouse can be cordless or wireless. The mouse device is a that lets you interact with the GUI and it is very helpful. There are many ways to use a mouse and in a school setting a mouse is an easy way to point and interact with the computer and the information on it. The benefits to this input device is if a person has a disability the mouse is easily managable.

4. The First Output Device is the Laser Printer. This printer produces good quality images the same way a photocopier does. Laser printers are much faster then the normal printers and it would be an asset to have in a school setting. As with any devices it is important to make sure they are used properly and not mishandled.

5. The Second Output Device is the Multimedia Device. This device outputs the sound like a speaker. A sound card is an example of a Multimedia device. This would be a great asset also to a school . You can use this device for movies and animation. In my opinion all these devices are more of an asset then a problem,as long as the students are trained.

6. Application to Learning , Building a relationship between a student and technology is a promise for the future. Learning technology can be integrated in every subject of learning. Technology provides the frame and the student and the educator can provide all the rest.
