1. Quotation 2: Act 1 Scene 5 If you weren’t a man, then what kind of animal were you when you first told me you wanted to do this?
1.1. Explanation 2: She still continued explaining on her ambitious plan though her husband asked her to stop.
2. Explanation 2: This shows that she is questioning her husband's gender and abilities. She demands that he becomes more manly.
3. Quotation 2: Act 2 Scene 2 "Do mock their charge with snores. I have drugged their possets, That death and nature do contend about them, Whether they live or die."
4. Quotation 1: Act 1 Scene 5 "Only look up clear. To alter favor ever is to fear. Leave all the rest to me.
5. Quotation 2: Act 1 Scene 7 "What beast was ’t, then, That made you break this enterprise to me? 6.1. Explanation 1: This shows that Lady Macbeth uses words to condemn (?) her husband so that he will be persuaded to do the job (murdering the king)
6.2. Explanation 1: This touches on the theme of masculinity. clearly willing to do whatever is necessary to seize the throne.
7. Explanation 2: This means that Lady Macbeth would do anything to get to her goal regardless of how many people she has to murder.
8. Explanation 3: This shows that she does not even stop and think about the servants feelings or what will become of them. She only cares about herself and no one else and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals even if it implicates other innocent people.
8.1. Lady Macbeth lacks all humanity, as we see in the opening scenes when she call upon the "spirits that tend on mortal thoughts" to take away her feminine instinct to care in order for her to do perform the ruthless deeds.
9. Explanation 1: Even after her husband put the matter aside for another time of discussing, she did not listen to him and just called the shots.
10. Explanation 1: This shows that she would do anything because she has sworn even if it means to do cruel things.
11. Ambitious, hardened, power hungry character but does at times show signs of humanity

13.1.1. Explanation 3: This shows that even though her husband wanted to discuss the matter further at another point of time, she is still bent on following her ideas and just barked orders to her husband though he is the older one.
