2. Dr.King was put in jail in resistance.People tried to kill him.Then on April 4, 1968 a gunman murdered him in Memphis, Tennessee.
3. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Norway in 1964.
3.1. He gave $54,000 dollars to the civil rights group.Which were working to secure the rights blacks deserved.
4. His famous quote is "'I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character"
5. All amarican's celebrate his birthday by making a school holiday to remember what he'd done for us black and white people.
6. After he turned 15yrs. he went to the Morehouse College for two years.Then he decided to become a minister.He was 19yr. when he graduated form college.
7. This civil rights leader was born on January 15, 1929.In Atlanta, Georgia.
8. He is known for leading the civil rights movement in the United States Advocating nonviolent protest against segregation and racial discrimination
