1.4. April- Condoleeza Rice was the first U.S. female secretary under George Bush.

1.5. May- Colin Powell changes sides to Barack Obama's "Party"!

1.6. June- Michael Jackson died in June 25,2009

1.7. July- Oprah Winfrey is entitled 100 Most Influential People in the World to win it 6 times!

1.8. August- Collen Jones wins the Olympic Gold Medal and also becomes the 2nd African American to win the Gold Medal!

1.9. September- Michael Jordan was inducted in the Hall of Fame in September 11.

1.10. October- Barrack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize by the Nobel committe!

1.11. November- Darius Rucker won the Country Music Association's New Artist of the Year Award and was also the first Aferican American to win this award!

1.12. December- Jennifer Hudson(Tiana, In The Princess and The Frog) to be the first animated move to feature an Afican American women.
