1.2.1. Obviously, afer some period of time, the chances of there being a victor are slight.
1.2.1.1. The killing of hundreds if not thousands of lives are not worth a French crown.
1.3. Proportionality- ad bello
1.3.1. Battle fought during HUNDRED Years War for French crown.
1.4. Noncombatant Immunity-in bello
1.4.1. The English killed thousands of French prisoners.
2. The Counter Reformation
2.1. Violation of principles do not adhere. 'Tis a physical war.
3. The First Crusade
3.1. Just Cause
3.1.1. The crusaded was not started as an act of self-defense, but for selfish reasons; want to take back the Holy Land.
3.2. Right Intention
3.2.1. Again, the Crusade did not begin as an act of self-defense, nor was it done to reciprocate an injustice.
3.3. Proportionality-ad bello
3.3.1. The Crusade did little for the Church, seeing as Jerusalem was only Christian for about 200 years.
3.4. Last Resort
3.4.1. Didn't try to come to an agreement in a diplomatic manner.
3.5. Proportionality-in bello
3.5.1. The Crusades did a lot of unnecessary killing, massacring and pillaging towns on the way to Jerusalem.
3.6. Right Intention- in bello
3.6.1. The Crusaders killed at random. In one instance, battled they fought Hungarians for food. Not supposed to kill for own benefit, but for the greater good.
3.7. Noncombatant Immunity-in bello
3.7.1. The Crusaders pillaged and massacred towns on their way to Jerusalem, though it wasn't necessary. A massacre ensued after the siege of Jerusalem.
