1. In the locker room before each game there was a ritual. A boom-box placed above the man sized lockers blasting heavy metal music. Anything to get our heads into "kill mode."

2. The whistle screams, and the first pass between the center and forward signifies the start of the game.

3. When I hear a whistle blow, or an air horn screech, I still recall moments of those nights playing soccer. No matter how much time passes. It seems to be ingrained into my memory like hieroglyphics into pyramid walls.
