1. What is the difference between a hypothesis and a theory?
1.1. Bob: Hypothesis is an educated guess and a theory is a well tested answer that has yet to be proven wrong.

1.2.1. Corinne: A hypothesis is a proposition assumed as a premise in the beginning of an argument while a theory has taken that hypothesis and has tested it until it could no longer be proven false.
2. How are scientific models used to support theory?
2.1. Bob: A theory must be tested and experimented by many scientist before it can be considered a theory.
2.2. Bob:I plan to go with Corinne's answer.
2.2.1. Corinne: Models are used to help prove a theory. With models, it is then easier to visualize how the theory is supposed to be and how truthful it is.
3. Why do scientific laws come before theories?
3.1. Bob: Because they have been proven true, unlike theories have yet to be proven.
3.2. Grant: Theories tend to be built off of laws. Laws are like a generalization about something. Since we build off of a foundation known laws, theories come after, and they help explain laws even better.

3.3.1. Unlike laws, theories can not be proven true, however theories are used as possible answers to unanswered laws.

6. How would you describe the process of scientific discovery? Correctly use the terms law, hypothesis, and theory in your description.
6.1. Bob: First one will hypothesize a educated guess as to a solution to a sequence of events that has yet to be explained. Then after many experiments and tests, it then becomes a theory so long as it has not been proven wrong. Then if it is proven consistently correct it will be categorized as a law.
