Well at frist he fell in love with a girl name Ann Rutledge but she had died because of a typhoid and then he met marry owens but when he send her a letter saying "I would not blame you if you ended the relationship" and she never sent hem a letter back until he met Marry tod they were going to get married on January 1, 1841 but they slipt and later on they met each other at a party but they finally got married on November 4, 1842 in the Springfield

3. The Lincolns had a budding family, with the birth of Robert Todd Lincoln in 1843, and Edward Baker Lincoln in 1846. According to a house girl, Abraham "was remarkably fond of children" and the Lincolns were not thought to be strict with their children. Robert was the only child of the Lincolns to live past the age of 18. Edward Lincoln died on February 1, 1850, in Springfield, likely of tuberculosis. The Lincolns' grief over this loss was somewhat assuaged by the birth of William "Willie" Wallace Lincoln nearly 11 months later, on December 21. However, Willie died of a fever at the age of 11 on February 20, 1862, in Washington, D.C., during President Lincoln's first term. The Lincolns' fourth son, Thomas "Tad" Lincoln, was born on April 4, 1853 and outlived his father, but died at the age of 18 on July 16, 1871, in Chicago.

4. Abraham Lincoln never let his humble beginnings as a son of two uneducated farmers define him. He complemented about 18 months of formal education with voracious reading and remarkable retention. Prior to being elected as a president, Lincoln worked as a country lawyer, an Illinois state legislator and a member of the United States House of Representatives. His perseverance shines through two failed attempts to get elected to the US Senate.
