1. Lonely: "His parents like to pretend that he doesn't exist." (Pg.10)

1.1. Franklin's critical view of being lonely is that nobody wants to speak to him or hang around with him because he has no friends in his life.

2. Temperamental: "You're an incompetent son of a b****". (Pg.16)

2.1. Franklin's critical view of being temperamental is that he is so stress that he can't talk to anyone including his doctor because he is angry.

3. Rich: "Crabbe's old man was rich and they both belonged in a same golf club" (Pg.27)

3.1. Franklin's critical view of being rich is that Crabbe's family is very rich and talks about the money. Crabbe thinks that money isn't the way his parents think.

4. Hypocrite: "I'm not an alcoholic (Pg.81)

4.1. Franklin's critical view of being a hypocrite is that he is trying to be a lair and become an alcoholic.

5. Angry: "When I saw her I hoped the b******* would die in the fire." (Pg.112)

5.1. Franklin's critical view of being angry is that he hated his doctor and his family.

6. Strong:"I was strong. My limbs felt lighter and supple. I ate like a starved army." (Pg.95)

6.1. Franklin's critical view of being strong is that he learns how not to be weak and gangly but to be very strong and very nature like.
