Validity and Reliability in Learning and Assessment por Mind Map: Validity and Reliability in Learning and Assessment

1. Reliability

1.1. Test- Retest

1.1.1. In this process the teacher is able to give the test more than once to see how reliable it can be.

1.2. Alternate Forms or Equivalence

1.2.1. If there are two equal forms of the assessment then both can be given so that we can see if they are reliable.

1.3. Internal Consistency

1.3.1. Split-Half Method

1.3.1.1. In this process we are able to split the test into two parts to see if the test is reliable.

1.3.2. Kuder-Richardson Method

1.3.2.1. This method takes two test and see how they can be compared to each other to see if a overall test is reliable.

2. Validity

2.1. Content Validity Evidence

2.1.1. This process is able to inspect test questions to see if they relate to the material that is being taught. It is the easiest way to decide if the assessmet is valid.

2.2. Criterion - Related Validity Evidence

2.2.1. Predictive Validity

2.2.1.1. This process helps the teacher to predict how well the student will do on the test.

2.2.2. Concurrent - Criterion- Related Validity Evidence

2.2.2.1. "deals with measures that can be administered at the same time as the measure to be validated." (Kubiszyn , 2012).

2.3. Construct Validity Evidence

2.3.1. In this process information from the exam will help to determine what results from the therory.
