1. Technology

1.1. Squirrels will cover themselves in rattlesnake's scent to mask from predators.

1.2. Pigs were taught how to move a curser on a screen by only using their noses.

2. Survive

2.1. Many animals survive winter by migrating to warmer climates, like birds.

2.2. Many animals survive winter by hibernating, sleeping through the winter as to conserve energy, like bears. Some could argue that this is like what teenagers do too, sleep for what seems like forever.

2.3. Many animals survive winter by huddling together for warmth. They do this by sharing their body heat. An example of an animal that does this is the Emperor Penguin.

3. Water

3.1. In the desert water is very limited. Becuase of this, animals obtain water from the food that they eat such as

3.2. Camels conserve water for months. They do this by drinking twenty gallons at a time, then the water goes into their bloodstream and they can save it for long periods of time.

3.3. Water helps animals maintain homeostasis, regulate pH levels, digest food, and lubricate joints.

4. Shelter

4.1. Shelters are built for 3 primary reasons: 1) to have a protected habitat 2) to be able to hunt for prey 3) to be able to exchange information among other of the same species

4.2. The 12 main climates include: grasslands, deserts, tropical forests, temperate forests, coniferous forests, mountains, polar regions, freshwater, ocean, coral reefs, coasts, and urban and rural areas.
