3. Por el cual se dictan normas para el cumplimiento del contenido del Título IV de la Ley 09 de 1979, en lo referente a las condiciones sanitarias que deben cumplir los establecimientos hospitalarios y similares
3.1. Que de acuerdo con el artículo 241 de la Ley en mención, al Ministerio de Salud compete reglamentar " lo relacionado con las condiciones sanitarias que deben cumplir las edificaciones para establecimientos hospitalarios y similares, para garantizar que se proteja la salud de sus trabajadores, de los usuarios y de la población en general.
4. CAPITULO I. DEFINICIÓN Y CAMPO DE APLICACIÓN
4.1. ARTICULO 1o. DEFINICION. Para efectos de la presente resolución se definen como establecimientos hospitalarios y similares, todas las instituciones prestadoras de servicios de salud
4.2. ARTICULO 2o. MODALIDAD DE INSTITUCIONES PRESTADORAS DE SERVICIOS DE SALUD. Las instituciones prestadoras de servicios de salud según el tipo de servicio que ofrezcan, pueden clasificarse como instituciones hospitalarias e instituciones ambulatorias de baja, mediana y alta complejidad.
4.3. ARTICULO 3o. CAMPO DE APLICACIÓN: Las disposiciones de la presente resolución se aplicarán tanto a todas las instituciones prestadoras de servicios de salud, como a todos los prestadores de servicios de salud. .
5. CAPITULO VI. SUMINISTRO DE AGUA POTABLE
5.1. ARTICULO 15. NORMAS APLICABLES.Las instituciones prestadoras de servicios de salud que dispongan de suministro propio de agua también están obligadas al cumplimiento del decreto a que se refiere este artículo.
