My Thesis: Rebellion is sometimes necessary for a society because it brings about change and it also responsible for bringing an end to any and hopefully all injustices that plague them.

1. Paragraph 1 Main Idea: Rebellions often lead to change for the society resulting in either a better nation or community overall.
1.1. Daniel Shays
1.2. Commentary: Daniel Shays, leader of Shays Rebellion, had led this rebellion in hopes of change for the country he once fought for to secure its freedom. As a result of his rebellion the government realized that the national government was very weak and thus the U.S Constitution was put into place.
1.3. Supporting Details: Shays Rebellion displayed the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation by showing the government just how much it was lacking when it came down to a strong national government.
2. Paragraph 2 Main Idea: Rebellion is often caused by the people of the society feeling the need to bring about the end to the injustices that plague their society.
2.1. Toussaint Louverture
2.2. Commentary: L'Ouverture was a leader during the Haitian Revolution, which is possibly the most successful slave revolt in history. Thanks to the efforts of L'Ouverture, Saint-Domingue, later known as Haiti, was now considered a free nation.
2.3. Supporting details: L'Ouverture found the emancipation of the slaves so important that during the revolution he had became a officer in the Spanish military. L'Ouverture had found that freeing Saint-Domingue from the injustices that faced its people to be the utmost priority.
