Formal Education:

1978-79 studied under sculptor Wolf Niessen

1983 Lorain County Community College

1987 Shippenburg University

1989 Studied under Boris Vallejo

after Julie’s two sons Anthony and David were born 1980, 1982, she illustrated small publication freelance books.

1983 Julie turned to bodybuilding and powerlifting where she became nationally ranked as a commutative bodybuilder.

1989 Julie became Vallejo’s model and art student

1990 Metal Flesh painting used for Heavy Metal cover. Julie went freelance and started illustrating trading cards for Marvel and DC comics, book covers, magazine covers and video game companies.

2001 During a visit to Lakota Wolf Preserve, Julie turned her attention to painting wildlife.

Awards: Chelsey Award for Artistic Achievement, 7 awards at Art Renewal Center 2014 Salon, Mountain Oyster Club’s top award for wildlife art, Named living Master by Art Renewal Center.
