1. Content Validity Evidence – An inspection of test questions to verify they correspond to the intention of what is to be covered by the test. Answers the question "Does the test measure the instructional objectives?" (Kubiszyn & Borich, 2010 p. 330).

2. Criterion-Related Validity Evidence – Test scores are correlated with an external criterion.
3. Construct Validity Evidence – The relationship of the test corresponds with the information the students have been taught.
4. Concurrent Criterion-related validity evidence- compares the test to other valid tests of the same type. For example, making a test that can be compared with the SAT test(measuring the content of the test). Students would be given both the new test and the SAT test, and then the correlation between the two sets of scores would be measured.
5. Predictive validity evidence – "refers to how well the test predicts some future behavior of the examinees" (Kubiszyn & Borich, 2010 p. 331).
6. Test-Retest – The test is given twice and the correlation between the first set and the second set are determined
7. Alternate Forms – Two different equivalent forms of a test are given to a group of students, and the correlations between the two different scores are determined.
8. Internal Consistency – Assumes that examinees will answer similar questions the same way.
