1.1. McDonald's advertise their food as 'nutritious.' Although true, the foods are also refined - high in calories, sugar and salt, as well as being low in fiber and vitamins.

3.1. Situation: Fast food restaurants are often perceived as unhealthy to consumers. However, since they are easily available and affordable, people tend to consume them regardless of their health. Nowadays, people are more informed as to how fast-food is detrimental to their health and as such, they are becoming more health conscious and are looking towards a healthier lifestyle by consuming nutritious,organic ingredients. McDonalds, the world’s largest retail fast food chain, has become a cheap and convenient alternative for the public. By being prevalent worldwide, McDonalds has evolved to being highly influential in the daily diets of people all around the world.

7. Fast foods are also stigmatized as unhealthy to the public due to mainstream media promoting the idea. Movies, such as Super Size Me that became the 22nd highest grossing documentary film of all time, generate a lot of media attention towards the unhealthiness of McDonalds and influence the public’s perspective negatively.
