Three key principles to my new career in Information Technology!
by Bryan Gillette
1. "WE BEHAVE AND ACT NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TRUTH OF OUR POTENTIAL, BUT ACCORDING TO THE TRUTH AS WE BELIEVE IT TO BE"
1.1. To me this means that we act how we tell ourselves we can or can't act in stead of acting with our true potential
1.1.1. In my program, I won't let negative things get in my way of getting things done or of becoming the best IT person I can be.
2. "YOU ARE VERY CAPABLE AND VERY SMART"
2.1. In my opinion this this principle should be posted on every persons mirror to see and say to themselves when they get up in the morning, everybody is capable of doing whatever they put their mind to and that makes them very smart
2.1.1. I will use this principle everyday to keep myself motivated. I know I will come to a handful of bumps in the road from here to graduation, but as long as I am reminding myself of this principle I know I can get through it!
3. "HABITS ARE A LEARNED BEHAVIOR AND CAN BE UNLEARNED"
3.1. To me this principle means that all of my bad habits, or anyone's for that matter, that I have learned over the years can be unlearned and replaced with new positive habits.
3.1.1. I can use this principle in my new program to help me with my homework and my studies by unlearning procrastination and learning time managment. I can also work on learning to control my anxiety about tests and quizzes and how to stay calm so that I can do my best work.
