1. Opportunities
1.1. Students around the world are in similar situations ~ more opportunities to connect widely
1.2. Everyone (learners and instructors) can have a learning opportunity from each other
1.3. Get to know people and learn from and with them.
1.4. Students can engage when it best suits their lives.
1.5. Students likely can access technology anywhere - phones, wifi hubs etc.
2. Strengths
2.1. Have experience accessing content online
2.2. Connection through common goals and objectives (i.e. new career, starting fresh, etc.)
2.3. Interacting with people and having time to think and write, especially if English is not your first language.
2.4. Gen. Z - unafraid of technology and just try new things.
3. Trying to duplicate what Tammy communicated, but I do not have to sign in touse
4. Weaknesses
4.1. Missing those surprise connections with others e.g., meeting students from other areas in line for coffee
4.1.1. Trying to take an online class from home with family, roommates, etc. distracting you or making it difficult to participate
4.2. The disadvantages of distance learning where learners are still new to a flipped styled classroom
4.3. Not having a chance to hug people when you like hugging.
4.4. Students work at all hours, sometimes making connections, giving assistance is difficult.
4.5. Time management
4.5.1. Time and personal self-management: many students are new to online and remote learning, adjusting to it can take time and it does not fit all students learning and relational needs
