3.1.5. Loved ones — people you care about

3.1.6. Moments of happiness — key moments of your life or recurring events

3.1.7. Moments of sadness — key moments of your life or recurring events

3.1.8. Personality traits — things that define you as a person

3.1.9. Values — things you strongly believe in

3.2. Map of Life

3.2.1. Figure out where you stand in 8 pillars of your life you care about

3.2.2. Go through each category and rate your satisfaction on a scale of 0–10

3.2.2.1. Do it with someone who knows you well

3.2.2.2. If you have a life coach, ask them to do the exercise with you

3.2.3. Fill out the situation you’d want to be in and give it a deadline

3.2.4. Set realistic expectations

3.3. Fill out your Ikigai

3.3.1. Let your imagination run wild

3.3.2. Don’t picture the present. Picture the near future

3.4. For the coming weeks, whenever you’re faced with making a decision on doing something or not doing it, test it against your newfound “map”

3.4.1. When you make an important decision, note what it is and why you did it

4. Ponder

4.1. Reflect on the usual questions:

4.1.1. What went right?

4.1.2. What went wrong?

4.1.3. How can I improve?

4.2. Also ask yourself:

4.2.1. Do I have a better idea of who I am?

4.2.2. Do I have a better idea of who I want to be?

4.2.3. Do I know what I have to do going forward? How about for next month, next year, and a few years from now?

4.2.4. Do I fully understand the map of life and Ikigai?

4.2.5. How can I continue my journaling practice?

4.2.6. How can I take my journaling to the next level?

4.2.7. Do I want to pursue this skill? Why? Why not?
