"Past performance"
von Cristian Machado
1. In practice in the U.S. government contracting market, the term “past performance” includes three elements:
1.1. 1) what work a contractor performed
1.2. 2) judgments about the breadth, depth and relevance of that experience
1.2.1. The main activity associated with this system is the documentation of contractor and grantee performance information that is required by federal regulations. These reports are available to U.S. government agencies making contract award decisions.
1.3. 3) judgments about how well the contractor performed
1.4. The Government is the largest acquisition organization in the world with expenditures of about $200 Billion a year for commercial goods and services. This is one third of the Federal discretionary budget of about $600 Billion. How well the Government’s acquisition teams administer in-process contracts and discuss with contractors their current performance, determines to a great extent how well agencies can achieve their missions and provide value to the taxpayers.
1.4.1. By increasing attention to contractor performance on in-process contracts and ensuring past performance data is readily available for source selection teams, agencies are reaping two benefits:
1.4.1.1. Better current performance because of the active dialog between the contractor and the government.
1.4.1.2. Better ability to select high quality contractors for new contracts, because contractors know the assessments will be used in future award decisions.
2. Business Past
2.1. Once your business is established and running well, you may be inclined to let things continue to run as they are. However, it's actually time to plan again. After the crucial early stages, you should regularly review your progress, identify how you can make the most of the market position you've established and decide where to take your business next. You will need to revisit and update your business plan with your new strategy in mind and make sure you introduce the developments you've noted.
3. • What work experience do you have?

6. Does your company have a contingency plan?
6.1. •Not
7. Have you ever had any problems with rules and regulations?•No, all our procedures follow the standard rules and regulations by the book.
8. Refers to how something has performed in the past, for example how an athlete, a business, an investment portfolio, an individual stock, a sports team or a race horse has performed.
8.1. The term "past performance" is used more specifically in relation to government procurement, horse racing and mutual fund disclosure documents.
9. Past performance is a central element of the process used by government agencies when they evaluate companies and proposals to determine which ones will be awarded contracts.
9.1. Knowledge and awareness of how past performance is evaluated are critical to successful proposals to perform government work.
10. Defining past performance as an evaluation factor distinguishes it from past performance information, or relevant information about a contractor’s actions under previously awarded contracts.
