On 28 April of 1908, a great leader was born, Oskar Schindler. He lived during the time of World War II. He became a very respected guest at the Nazi SS elite parties. Oskar Schindler didn’t share the same thoughts as the Nazis; instead he took advantage of his position to help save many Jewish lives. The way this was done was all projected by an act of full courage. He owned a factory, so he started hiring as many Jewish as possible to save them from being assassinated. The Jewish were safe by working at his factory since he pretended that he needed people to help run his factory. He treated all of his workers politely he didn’t scream at them and didn’t treat them as if they were inferior. Jewish people were sent to concentration camps, they were mistreated and killed. The Jewish that worked in Schindlers’s factory gave him names of certain persons like relatives or friends for him to put them on his list. Oskar Schindler started making lists (the names all given by his workers) with names, and he sent them to the leaders of the Nazi’s. The people whose names were on the lists were taken out from the concentration camps and sent to work at his factory. He started doing this to save as many Jewish as possible. About 1200 Jewish were saved by him. This was an extremely courageous act because he was betraying the Nazi’s since he was supposed to be one of them. If anyone would have found out what he was doing, he would have been immediately killed.
