1. Grip
1.1. Forehand: racquet like shaking hand with a friend.
1.2. Backhand: thumb moving to run parallel with that handle.
2. Footwork
2.1. Fundamental skill. The ability to reach the shuttle early while on balance.

4. What is it?
4.1. Racquet sport played in singles (1vs1) or doubles (2vs2).
5. Scoring
5.1. Score by striking a shuttlecock with the racquet over the net and inside the opponents' half of the court. The rally ends when it strikes the floor.
5.1.1. Shuttle lands in the court: the one who missed loses the point.
5.1.2. Shuttle hit outside the lines: the one who hit it loses the point.
5.1.3. Shuttle lands on the line: means in too. You can score even if you don't serve.
6. Court
6.1. Rectangular, two halves divided by a net. 6.1m x 13.4 m in doubles, width changes to 5.18m in singles. Net: 1.55m.
7. Equipment
7.1. Racquet and shuttlecock (cork with feathers).
8. Objective
8.1. Win 2 sets faster than your opponent (best of 3). To win a set, score 21 points and be at least two points ahead. Score 20-20: score until one team gets a two point lead. 30 points is the maximum.
9. Service
9.1. Racquet below waist, racquet head below the hand holding the racquet. Serve diagonally above the net.
9.1.1. Right box: start and even number of points.
9.1.2. Left box: odd number of points.
9.1.3. After a point is won: player switches sides every serve until one is lost.
