Resolution by Mind Map: Resolution

1. Pixel Dimensions

1.1. The width and height of our images is composed of pixels. The more pixels present in the photo = the larger the photo is.

1.2. MP stands for mega pixel. 8MP= 8,000,000 pixels, 4MP= 4,000,000, and so on...

2. Document Size

2.1. Comprised of Width, Height, and Resolution

2.1.1. The units can change but typically width and height is in inches and resolution is in pixels/inch

2.2. Deals with how many pixles will print in every inch for the size of the photo.

3. Resolution has everything to do with printing quality.

4. Pixel Size

4.1. Fitting Pixels inside of the inch constraints is controled by photoshop.

4.1.1. This is important to have because the end result of the printed photo is dependent on how many pixels we can fit into each inch of the print.
