5. What I learned from the Module
5.1. "Technology" is not just the phones in our pockets and the laptops in our bags (Dyer, 2009)
5.2. It has a more general meaning which includes any "practical application of knowledge" or manner of accomplishing a task" (Isman, 2012, p. 207).
5.3. Human's use of technology involves not only machines (e.g., computer hardware) and instruments, but also includes structured relations with other humans, machines, and the environment (Isman, 2012, p. 207).
5.4. A modern view emphasizes the coherence of technology and knowledge and points out that technology transfer is not achievable without knowledge transfer, as knowledge is a key to controlling technology as a whole (Li-Hua, 2007).
5.5. Kevin Kelly reflects on what technology means in our lives -- from its impact at the personal level to its place in the cosmos (TED, 2010).

7. New Definition of Technology:
7.1. Technology is defined as "firm-specific information concerning characteristics and performance properties of production processes and product design" (Li-Hua, 2007).
7.2. "Technology is the effort to organize the world for problem solving so that goods and services can be invented, developed, produced, and used" (Thierer, 2014).
8. The attempt to define technology is quite challenging, and people in general may have different interpretations as they are positioned differently (Li-Hua, 2007).
