1.1. TPACK describes three areas of knowledge
1.1.1. Technology
1.1.1.1. Integrating technology into your lesson and knowing how to use it.
1.1.2. Pedagogy
1.1.2.1. How to teach.
1.1.3. Content
1.1.3.1. Do the students have the content knowledge required for this task?
1.2. By combining these 3 areas of knowledge, teachers can decide what kind of technologies they should use to describe their class content, while being pedagogically aware.
1.3. The TPACK model is a Venn Diagram
2. SAMR
2.1. Any teacher can use a piece of technology, but it can be more effective depending on how they use it.
2.2. The effectiveness of a technology can be broken down into two categories and then 4 subcategories
2.2.1. Transformation
2.2.1.1. Redefinition
2.2.1.1.1. The tech presents new tasks that couldn't be achieved without it
2.2.1.2. Modification
2.2.1.2.1. The tech allows for task resdesign
2.2.2. Enchancement
2.2.2.1. Augmentation
2.2.2.1.1. A substitute but with a functional improvement
2.2.2.2. Substitution
2.2.2.2.1. Direct substitute, no functional change
3. 21st Century
3.1. 21st Century learning is divided up into 3 levels of knowledge
3.1.1. 1. Foundation Knowledge
3.1.1.1. Content, information literacy, cross-disciplinary knowledge
3.1.2. 2. Meta Knowledge
3.1.2.1. Problem solving/critical thinking, communication/collaboration, creativity
3.1.3. 3. Humanistic Knowledge
3.1.3.1. Life job skills, cultural competence, ethical/emotional awareness
