by Mika Takahashi
1. Who? 3rd world countries (Both victims & criminals)he seller generally earns between $2,000 to $6,000 for a kidney, though post operation care is almost never taken into account. Unaware of all the risks involved, the donors often find themselves even worse off than before the operation, and with little or no money left to help them live.
2. What? Illegal "organ" trade (Maybe we can compare legal AND illegal organ trade)
3. When? 21st century (Maybe include the history of the Illegal organ trade. e.g. Who started it, when started it etc.
4. Where? India, China, Egypt, Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia, and Iraq are some countries in the world where illegal organ trade is prevalent.
4.1. New node
5. Why? The price of kidney range from $800 - $10,000 or more. It is obviously profitable and doesn't require too much input to sell them.
6. How? In China, the pimps would tell their prostitutes to lure men and put them to sleep in bed. Once asleep, people would come and take non-essential organs out so that people won't die and sell them.
