1.1. Show your parents how to check out a book in Follett Enlight

1.1.1. If your class has not yet set up our library's ebook reader, Rosa says she has some time available Monday-Wednesday to help classes set that up. Peter Brown is still here so she is busy with that.

1.2. Share any of their writing, pointing out something they did especially well or a passage that shows their growth.

1.3. Fluency recording in Educreations

1.3.1. snap a photo of their current book

1.3.2. record a cold reading of the page

2.1. Show parents the process of completing a Quick Check or DCCR on the iPad. Discuss that in one month each class saves around 800 pieces of paper plus the time that would have been spent copying, distributing and filing those worksheets.

3.1. Use iMotion HD to made a stop motion video while you create a circuit with your parents

4. Tech

4.1. Work through a Digital Passport activity with parents

4.1.1. Must have the Digital Passport app installed.

5. Social Studies

5.1. Use class PearlTrees to show how the class is curating resources. With parent use one of the resources and add a note to that pearl.

5.2. Use Haiku Deck to create a short presentation about what they are learning about Endangered Environments

6. Fun

6.1. Show parents how to code using Kodable. Explain your thinking. Then, let your parents try to complete the first few levels.

7. Reflection

7.1. Use Pic Collage to create an SLC artifact

7.1.1. Child and parent(s) take photos of each other

7.1.2. Add speech bubble to each photo

7.1.3. In parent's bubble they write how they see the child has grown this year

7.1.4. In child's bubble the child writes how (s)he has grown this year

7.1.5. Decorate- add to blog at a later date.

7.2. Use the camera to create a short oral history interview of their parent(s)

7.2.1. In what ways was your grade 4 year similar to mine?

7.2.2. In what ways do you see that I have grown this year?

7.2.3. At a later date these could be uploaded to Youtube and posted on blog. Or if they were too personal for that, they could be uploaded to Google Drive
