father's characteristics

1. Unlike other fathers who become angry and start shouting and chasing their children around the house shows that Father has a very calm character.
2. the book states that father rarely became angry but when he was angry,he would become quiet and distant and always had his way in the end shows that they clearly knew that when father became quiet and distant,it showed that father was angry.
3. Pg 50-54_
3.1. Bruno had a conversation with Father as Bruno tried to find reasons to move back to Berlin and while Father reasoned that this was his job and his work was very important
3.2. Father knew how upset Bruno was and tried to quieten him down as Bruno gave endless reasons on why they had to move back to Berlin, This shows that Father was patient and respected for Bruno not to shout at Father
4. Bruno's father has a very calm and composed character and has very good self control with his anger
5. Father considered himself more superior than Maria unlike Bruno who thought status didn't matter and that everyone was of equal standing
6. Pg 60 it states that Maria said that she didn't know if Bruno's father would allow her to be considered as part of the family shows that he considers himself of higher ranking than Maria

8.1. Father likes to joke around with his soldiers .Does not like to listen to his soldier's opinion . Father is also a very important man as his soldiers try to fight for Father's attention - they raised their voice trying to compete with each other to talk to Father.
8.2. Too busy to say 'Hello' to Bruno since Bruno moved into their new home. He also did not want Bruno to know about Father's job . Father takes a high authority place in his job so he is very busy
