The growing complexity of the healthcare arena requires a new set of tools that will determine its efficiency for the 21st century. Some of these tools include cloud-networking services that synchronize real time data to selective health networks, hospitals worldwide, private databases, third party payers, and patients alike.

Networking tools such as these bring promise to the proliferation and integration of DNA panel diagnostic strategies for doctors and patients. Projects such as the one I’m proposing in this class, tap into this constructive notion: A seamless, and powerful DNA cloud-based panel networking tool that connects to various networks (private and public), gathers massive amount of NGS (next-generation sequencing data) for clinicians to interpret, and revolutionizes the way we look at our genome to take preventive measures such as those exposed to heritable disorders. These crucial tools will push preventive care over the next decades to a higher level by allowing doctors to detect early onset stages of heritable disorders, as well as establishing treatment plans by having cloud access to multiple patient profiles.
