Photosynthesis by Mind Map: Photosynthesis

1. How can we test it

1.1. We can test the starch, because starch contains chlorophyll and plants only can make food with chlorophyll

2. List features of a leaf

2.1. Stomata: to let Carbon Dioxide come in and let Oxygen go out. And these are the guard cells of the leaf

2.2. Palisade Mesophyll: which contains the chlorophyll, and chlorophyll is the most important one in the leaf because only chlorophyll can absorb the sunlight to make energy. And thats why Palisade Mesophyll is on the top of the leaf

2.3. Vascular Bundle: it is in the middle of the leaf, it keeps water. It is the Veins of the leaf

2.4. Waxy Cuticle: it is at the top of the leaf and the bottom of the leaf, it can stop the water, so the only way to in and out is through the stomata

2.5. Epidermis Cells: it is right at the bottom of waxy cuticles, this two thing basically make the leaf's skin

2.6. Spongy Mesophyll: this is the part which makes reactions happens, it is at the bottom part of the leaf

3. Word equations

3.1. water + CO2 + chlorophyll-light = glucose + O2

4. What is needed

4.1. Water

4.2. Chlorophyll

4.3. Light

5. What are produced

5.1. Glucose

5.2. Oxygen

6. Why is it important

6.1. Because producers need to make their own food with Photosynthesis
