REPUBLISHING INSTRUCTIONS:

\n\n

1. \nGo to bookshelf, only look at\nbooks with the “live” status that have been published for 3 weeks or longer.

\n\n

2. \nGo to “View on Amazon”, click\non “US”

\n\n

3. \nScroll down to “Product\nDetails” and look at where it says “Amazon Bestseller’s Rank”. If the rank is\n100,000 or higher, the book qualifies to be unpublished and republished.

\n\n

4. \nTo unpublish a book, go to the\nbookshelf and on the right click on the “***” button. Then click on “unpublish”

\n\n

5. \nThen, open KDP again in another\nwindow and click on “create new title”. Copy and paste all of the info from the\nold, unpublished book to this new title. Upload the same cover. (OR change any of these details if you feel\nthey can be improved. For a TOTAL fresh start of this book you could just take\nthe story but then republish it with a new title, new cover, new description,\nalter the keywords, maybe target a different category.)

\n\n

6. \nFind the story in the “stories\nfor republishing folder”. Create a new Word document and paste the story into\nthe current template with bonus material. Make sure the story is formatted\ncorrectly with the following details:

\n\n

· \nMargins – 2.54cm top and\nbottom, 3.17cm left and right

\n\n

· \nFont – Georgia , size 14

\n\n

· \nFirst line indented

\n\n

· \nSpacing – double

\n\n

Save\nthis newly formatted book into the “republished books” folder.

\n\n

7. \nUnder “Book Content File” click\n“browse” and find the file for the ebook and upload it.

\n\n

8. \nClick on “save as draft”

\n\n

9. \nGo to “Republishing” sheet

\n\n

10. Enter\nthe date, name of the story, and ranking before unpublishing, and review\nrating.

\n\n

11. \nWhen new book is finished being\nrepublished, enter the new link and set up a free promo for 5 days. Here is the\nprocess for setting up a free promo:

FREE PROMO:

\n\n

· \nOn the bookshelf, click on\n“promote and advertise”

\n\n

· \nClick on “free book promotion”\nand “create a new free book promotion”

\n\n

· \nSchedule a promo for 5 days.

\n\n

12. If\nthe overall review ranking of the book prior to unpublishing was 4 stars or\nbetter, have the reviews transferred over to the new book. Here is the process:

REVIEW TRANSFER:

\n\n

· \nOn the top right hand side of\nthe bookshelf page is a “help” button. Click on it.

\n\n

· \nGo to the bottom of the left\nhand side of the page and click on “contact us”

\n\n

· \nClick on “Amazon Product Page”

\n\n

· \nIn the subject line put\n“transfer reviews to new ASIN#”

\n\n

· \nUse this in the message:

\n\n

Hello, I unpublished a book and left it as a draft on my\nbookshelf and republished the book as a new title to give it a new ASIN#. I\nwould like the reviews from the old ASIN# transferred to the new ASIN#.

· \nIf the review rating before\nunpublishing is worse than 4 stars, send an email to my review VA Christine,\nrequesting 3 reviews for the book. Send her the new link to the book and tell\nher what days it is free for.

· \nOn the Old book that is now an\nunpublished draft, upload the “X” cover to indicate on the bookshelf that this\nis an old book that is not to be used again. These unpublished books remain on\nyour bookshelf forever.
