1.2.1. Use addition and subtraction songs
1.2.2. use addition and subtraction puzzles to learn basic fact from 0-10.
2. Learning Profile
2.1. Auditory Learners- like to hear directions aloud, discuss what they are learning, use word games, puzzles, riddles and songs, work with partners, do choral reading, teach others for clarification.
2.2. Visual Learners- Like to draw pictures to represent ideas, use games and puzzles, use visual clues to remember, use visualization to see pictures in their minds, use graphics and flowcharts.

3.1. Lower performing students
3.1.1. Have students work with number 0-5 only. Have students work with numbers 1,2, and 3 as your start number until students demonstrate an understanding of the process of finding 1 more or removing 1.
3.1.2. Use a 5 frame. Roll a number cube to determine start number. Tell a student an addition or subtraction story. Have the student use the 5 frame to answer the problem. Additionally, they can draw pictures or use objects to show the story.
3.1.3. When working in station games decrease the number of objects.
3.2. Advanced performing students
3.2.1. Have students work with numbers 0-10
3.2.2. Use 10 frame and number cards from 0-10. Have students choose a card to determine the start number. Tell the students an addition or subtraction story. Have students use the 10 frame to answer the problem. Additionally, students can draw pictures or use objects to solve the problem. Lastly, students can write a number equation the show the story.
