1.1. Malay: Friday prayer is an important day for the Malays. Traditional Malay dressing for men is the Baju Melayu and Songkok. For Malay women is the Baju Kurung and Selendang (shawl to cover the head).

1.2. Chinese: The traditional Chinese clothes is the Qipao (cheongsam) and the Zhongshan suit

1.3. Indian: Traditional Indian dressing for women is the Sari (a long sheet of colourful cloth, draped over a simple blouse), little girls weae a pavada. Some Indian men wear a dhoti kurta during prayer of festival days.
