Exit Tickets - Can be 1-2 example sentences from the day's lesson or simply having students answer: "What have I learned today, What did I find interesting, What questions do I still have". Teacher can modify the next lesson based on what the exit tickets show.
Rating scales - Teacher asks, on a scale of 1-5 how well does the students feel they've understood the new grammar concept. Allows students to stop and reflect.
Short paper/pencil quizzes.. Students then partner and check each other's work and discuss what's correct and incorrect and then class feedback is gotten
Observations - Teacher keeps a clipboard and jots down all mistakes made of difficulties students have during a partner or group activity. Examples of mistakes written on board for students to as a class correct and discuss their opinions.
My Favorite No: Students are asked to write 1-2 example sentences for the grammar being learned. Teacher gathers them and separates them into "yes" and "no" piles and then places the top 1-2 favorite "no's" on the board so the students can explain what the errors are.
