4. Create a STEAM based Unit titled "Coming of Age."

4.1. allow students to select a choice of novels centered around the theme "coming of age"

4.2. Create text sets that provide a variety of print and digital texts and allow students access via the website and with in-class materials/ artifacts- these will extend student content knowledge on related (not necessarily directly) of the novel. Touch on all disciplinary areas.

4.3. Students will team up in groups whom had the same novel. The teams will develop a set of questions they still wonder or want to know more about after reading. Once these lists are posted via the website, the teacher will review them and add to text sets as needed

4.4. Each student will choose an independent question they will use the text sets and/or research to come to findings. Students with the same novels may work together to investigate. The text sets may assist groups of students in further answering their inquiries or expanding upon findings.

4.5. After accessing text sets and developing knowledge on multiple points of view on each individuals/group's novel, students will now have an opportunity to take what they've learned a step further.

4.5.1. Given little parameters, student will be asked to present their question and create a version of their findings (game, product, artwork, presentation, digital art, 3d model, digital poster, photographs, etc.) in a creative way of their choice. The teacher will present options, provide tutorials/ citations online on the class website, and post a Padlet for final student responses. Time will be provided for brainstorming and "playing around" with these options. 3D or paper products will be scanned in.

4.5.2. Students will be required to view all presentations and 1)ask a new question 2)comment on something good 3)give feedback on technology/art integration 4) make a personal connection if applicable
