What kind of media institution might distrubute your media product?

1. Bauer have published music magazines in the past but have not published a R&B magazine and I would like to fill that gap.

2. Mixmag is published by Emap who are published by Bauer, unlike XXL who is published by Town quare which is an amercian based publisher.

3. I firsted looked at Mixmag, which is a UK based music magazine. The genre is dance unlike XXL, where the genre is R&B and rap. My music magazine is R&B but its a UK based magazine so for that reason I decided to go with Bauer to publish my magazine.

4. I chose two magazines which are 'mixmag' and 'XXL'.

5. Bauer are a multi media company that publish not only magazines of different genres such as;

5.1. Feminality (mother&baby, yours) Bikes and vehicles (Bike, classic cars, classic bike, MCN), Celbrity gossip (closer), animals (bird watching), nature life(landscape, country walking), fahion and lifestyle (Grazia, heat) and music(Q, KERRANG!).

5.1.1. They also publish many radio stations such as kiss, magic and absolute radio. Kiss play many R&B songs so the radio station can promote my magazine as the two link. They own music channels like 4music, this channel plays R&B so they could also promote my magazine.

5.2. So far Bauer only have a low number of music magazines so there is a major gap in this instituion.

6. In my music proposal I mentioned I was going to publish my magazine by 'NatMag', I made a final decision to go with Bauer as they are more popular and would get my magazine recongnised.
