3. Digital literacy

3.1. The capability to use digital technology and knowing when and how to use it

3.2. Appropriate -Students use digital technologies in new ways

3.3. Inappropriate -Students are provided with resources and materials that they cannot access away from the classroom

4. Digital Law

4.1. The legal rights and restrictions governing technology

4.2. Appropriate -students understand what can be downloaded for free and what is considered copyrighted material and should be paid for

4.3. Inappropriate -students download copyrighted music from file-sharing sites

5. Digital Rights and Responsibilities

5.1. The privileges and freedoms extended to all digital technology users, and the behavioral expectations that come with them

5.2. Appropriate -students cite websites or other digital media sources when using info for class

5.3. Inappropriate -students do not properly cite sources from the internet

6. Digital Access

6.1. Full electronic participation in society

6.2. Appropriate- Students choose the library computers.

6.3. Inappropriate- Using computers to play games instead of learning during class time.

7. Digital Commerce

7.1. The buying and selling of goods online

7.2. Appropriate- Use Amazon to buy school books.

7.3. Inappropriate- Buying from cites that are not safe.

8. Digital Communication

8.1. The electronic exchange of information

8.2. Appropriate- Using cellular devices outside of school instead of inside of school.

9. Digital Health and Wellness

9.1. The elements of physical and psychological well-being related to digital technology use

9.2. Appropriate- students learn about health and wellness as it relates to technology

9.3. Inappropriate- Possible harmful physical effects of technology are ignored -Proper ergonomics are not followed when using technology
