Disinformation, Misinformation, and Malinformation.

1. A video that was shot privately by the minister with his genitals showing was leaked to cause harm to him and the ANC.

2. This happened sometime last year when a video of former minister Gigaba was shared.

3. Malinformation- Information that is true and private and shared to cause harm

4. In South Africa this happens almost all the time were news are sent out but they are not true. Things like job opportunities or learnerships.

5. Sometimes these people are shared by well known people but not knowing that the news are false.

6. Misinformation- Information that is not true but the person communicating it does not mean any harm.

7. This was created to harm the foreign nationals and was deliberately communicated.

8. Example of disinformation. In Makhanda, October 2015 news started making rounds that foreign nationals are killing people and cutting of their private parts.

9. Disinformstion- Information that is not true but is deliberately communicated so that it can harm a person, social group or organisation.
